Main Characters:
Violet, Boy, The Archer brothers (The bad brothers), William Archer (The good brother), The orphans
I liked Violet best because she was the one to find out why people in Perfect were acting really strange and because she was the core of this whole adventure.
What happens:
Violet never wanted to move to Perfect. I mean who would want to live in a place where everyone has to wear glasses to stop them from going blind and where everyone has to be perfect all the time?
Violet meets a young boy in her room one night named “Boy!” Violet and Boy go on an epic journey where they reveal their real identity and find out who they really are while trying to stop the evil Archer Brothers from turning the whole town under their control.
Shocking part:
Firstly, Boy never had parents and in the last chapter I found out that William Archer (One of the good Archer brothers) was Boy’s FATHER!
Favourite part:
I loved Chapter 6: School rules, because thats the part were Violet went to school for the first time in Perfect. It was funny how she was acting normal while everyone else was all pretty PERFECT!
Authors Style:
Helena Duggan, is my new favourite author. I loved how she described every character and every setting like No-Mans-Land (A place where people go when they are kicked out of Perfect). It made me feel like i was there, in the old eerie street in the dark night with only the moon light shining.
Lesson or message:
Even if you are feeling that you don’t look cool or if you are not brave, when it’s time for you to face the real problem, only you can handle it.
Would You Recommend It?
I would recommend this book to people who love plot twists and adventures.
My Review:
Violet, a quiet yet mysterious girl didn’t want to move to Perfect where everyone must to wear glasses to stop them from going blind. (every single person wears one..)
I mean who would want to act perfect all the time?
Violet and her family moved to perfect yesterday. (not really yesterday) And from the next day they all went blind. I’m not going to tell you how they went blind, but one thing is for sure, its a very BIG plot twist.
One quiet night, Violet was sleeping calmly in bed when all of a sudden… BANG! Violet bolted out of bed, and to her surprise, there was another person in her bedroom.
PING! BREAK ALERT!
Sorry if it just got interesting, but let’s discuss about the author of this amazing book by Helena Duggan.
‘Amazingly written’ some people say, but i want to say something more.
The authors way of writing is completely different. I’m not saying other authors are bad at writing but what I mean is that her way of writing was completely new for me. The way she described everything (I know I say this a lot but) made me feel like I’m there.
The creepy flower garden with eyes. The cozy tea factory. The dark yet mysterious land of no people.
It was all really amazing. I’ve asked my uncle to order the next part.
Ok, so back to the story.
Violet stared at Boy in shock. Her heart started to beat faster. Why was there someone standing in her room, in a place where everything was supposed to be calm and perfect?
Violet and Boy started questioning each other about why they were both there and how they had even met. At first, it felt awkward and confusing, but soon their conversation drifted to other things. Slowly, they began to understand each other, and before they even realised it, they had become friends.
If you really want to know what strange and mysterious things happen in Perfect, it’s something nobody would ever expect. The town may look beautiful and peaceful, but there is something hidden underneath it. (I would definitely read the book to find out what happens if I were you!)
So Boy and Violet go on a adventure to find out the truth about Perfect and I think I need to stop telling you the story now because it would be more interesting if you read the book your self.
I would recommend this book to someone who loves plot twists and adventure.
