Today I will be talking about a book called “The Castle Of Tangled Magic” by Sophie Anderson
It is a really interesting book and I loved reading it, warm and cozy in my bed at night, in winter.
I also wanted to tell you that all the books I have read by Sophie Anderson so far have one connection.
I hope you have listened to my other Sophie Anderson books podcasts and I want you to guess what the connection is before I finish today’s review.
I might have not mentioned it in some of the reviews, but I will tell you what it is at the end.
I have read three books from the series and I still have one yet to read, but when I do read it, I will make sure to record a podcast about it, just like I do with every other book.
So let’s get started.
This books feels special to me, since it tells me about family values and caring about other people.
Like for instance when Olia (the main character of this book) said “My home is where my family is, Castle Mila is just a building.”
I really liked this sentence and what it means to the main character Olia. One of the reason being I also believe that family are very important part of our lives and a house is just a building but when we are with our family, it becomes a HOME!
Castle Mila is Olia’s, her Mama’s, her Papa’s, her little sisters and her grandma’s house.
Olia’s Grandmother is Babusya and her little sister is Rosa, but I think you should know what Mama and Papa means.
This book is about magical lands, forest and trees, talking spirits and the tastiest foods all together in one book.
It feels like real magic, but I also learnt from this book that there is one more thing even more powerful than magic.
Belief!
If you don’t believe in yourself, then you will have second thoughts about seeing magic. In order to achieve something, before anything we must believe in ourselves
Now let me tell you the connection, between the series of books by the author .. The Girl Who Speaks Bear, The House With Chicken Legs and The Castle Of Tangled Magic. The connection is that the books all seem to have Yaga houses in them.
A Yaga house is a witch’s home. They have chicken legs with a normal house structure on top, but in this case, the house is normal, but the decoration of the house is bones. How imaginative!
I got the chills the night I found out that there are houses with bones, and is definitely not normal.
Oh well, I must find out what happens in the next book anyway.
I really recommend you all to read this series by one of my favourite authors now, Sophie Anderson and hope you enjoy them!
See you with another amazing book soon.
